How Your Data Is Protected

We want you to know exactly what protection applies to what. Today, messages and content on I Am Transformation are not end-to-end encrypted.

Encrypted in transit, readable by our servers

  • Direct and group messages, and message attachments
  • Community posts, including private posts
  • Comments, reactions and profile information
  • Course content

Additional protection

  • Audio and video calls between two web browsers can use end-to-end encryption when both browsers support it; the call screen shows whether it is active
  • Sign-in uses a cryptographic challenge, so your password is not sent when you log in
  • Tax identifiers are encrypted by our server before storage

All connections to our service use TLS. Access to private content is limited to the people it is shared with and to authorized staff for safety and support.

How We Moderate Content

We use a layered approach to content moderation:

  1. Automated pre-screening (when enabled): When automated moderation is enabled, the text of every post you submit (including private posts) and every comment is sent to OpenAI's moderation service to screen for toxicity, hate speech and other violations before it is published, and content above safety thresholds is held for review. When it is not enabled, nothing is sent to OpenAI and content is not automatically screened.
  2. Image screening (when enabled): When automated moderation is enabled, images you attach to posts, and your profile and cover photos, are also sent to OpenAI's moderation service to screen for sexual content involving minors, violence and other violations. If an image is flagged as possible child sexual abuse material, we remove it, suspend the account and record the incident for reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
  3. Community reporting: Any user can report content they believe violates our Community Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by human moderators.
  4. Safety reports: Anyone, with or without an account, can report a safety concern. Reported child sexual abuse material and intimate images shared without consent are hidden from everyone as soon as they are reported, a copy is preserved securely for the legal reporting duties, and the same image is blocked from being uploaded again. Intimate-image removals are completed within 48 hours.
  5. Human review: Final moderation decisions are always made by trained human reviewers, not AI alone.

Because messages are not end-to-end encrypted, reported messages can be reviewed by our moderation team.

What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the platform:

  • Account information: Name, email, profile details you choose to share.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps (for analytics and security).
  • Content you create: Posts, comments, courses, and other public content.
  • Connection data: Who you follow, your tribe memberships, and connections.
  • Device information: Browser type, OS, IP address (for security and abuse prevention).

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform, such as Stripe for payments and OpenAI for content moderation, and as required by law.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, correct, and delete your personal data at any time. Account export and deletion are available in your account settings. When you delete your account, we remove your name and email address from your profile right away and cancel your subscriptions. Posts, comments, messages and other content you created may stay on the platform, shown as from a deleted user. To ask us to delete that content too, contact us at the address below. Copies of your data can also remain in our encrypted backups and snapshots until those are deleted.
